Workshop Details
Understanding the principles of whether to work into the negative or positive space to allow balance within your work is helpful to create depth and contrast. By using a masking out technique with either stencilling, stamping, and embossing processes along the edges of focal points it will demonstrate how areas can 'pop'. You will be focusing more on how you can add interest to the positive and/or negative space after masking your shape out. I have a range of shapes to inspire your creation but naturally you can create your own stencil shape too if there is something specific that you'd like to use eg. flowers/animal/butterfly/vase/a phrase/building or a figure etc... so do please come along with something in mind to use as your focal point and/or a sketch/photo to inspire your art piece. All materials are included and techniques are fully demonstrated. All abilities are very welcome including absolute beginners as no experience is necessary. Please wear old clothes as printing, painting and gluing can be messy. Aprons are provided; or you can bring your own if you'd prefer. This workshop is an adults session for ages from 17 years up...if the workshop does not fall on a day or a time that is convenient to you, please do get in touch and I will try to schedule something helpful in in the following months.
