Taking the plunge to work BIGGER ...previous experience necessary
Workshop Details
This is a full day workshop with only 4 spaces to allow for larger sizes to be worked on. From 10 - 4pm Hot and cold drinks are included but you will need to bring a packed lunch with you. In this workshop you will work on building layers to create your own bespoke art canvas that will be ready to wall hang as soon as you get home. You will be using found and/or natural objects for mark making on tissue paper to use as layers. You will use your tissue papers and printed papers for collaging, texturize muting backgrounds with gesso and add further layers with paint using stencils...you will have the option to add finer details including hand stitching and stamping. YOU WILL NEED TO SUPPLY YOUR OWN CANVAS for this workshop (maximum size 450 x 450mm for workshop space and the ability to get a piece finished in the time frame) All other materials are included. Please come with an idea in mind and/or inspiration images of what you would like as your theme/focal point on your canvas... animal/botanical/hearts/stars/bottles/flowers/words etc. All abilities are very welcome but some experience in mixed media would be useful... Please wear old clothes as printing, painting and gluing can be messy. Aprons are provided; or you can bring your own if you'd prefer. This workshop is an adults session for ages from 17 years up...if the workshop does not fall on a day that is convenient to you, please do get in touch and I will try to schedule a different day for a following month. I work 6-8 weeks in advance with setting bookings. If you wish to book all six spaces at once please email me for a 15% discount code before booking.
