This whole day workshop has been structured with personal reflection in mind. Each tag that you make will have a bespoke design and a chosen phrase that is meaningful to yourself or to the person you have chosen to make it for. In the workshop you will be using the gel plate to create printed papers, using natural and man made tools for mark making onto tissue and craft papers to build your own “fodder collage stash” in a limited colour palette** using acrylics and inks. You will then use your pieces with an aim to create 6-10 card tags and collate them together using a metal ring or treasury elastic tag… Whether you keep the tags together for personal use/to gift to a friend or slip them into journal pages or use as individual gift tags is entirely up to you… Creative wellness through art can be helpful for your overall wellbeing. This course will allow you to block book a given number of sessions where you will be in the same group of no more than six for the duration. I am currently offering two courses; Self Care Journal and Take Care Tags. Both courses will use mixed media techniques but will focus on allowing you to unwind from whatever emotion you are caught up in. By introducing you to a few art methods within a safe space, sessions should bring you a calm and clear mind allowing you to find ways to enjoy new things that are in tune with what your mind and body need. Sessions will help you to let things go and explore a way to uplift your spirits within the small group. Having up to 6 persons attending Creative Wellness courses allows for a very gentle approach progressing with more confidence as time allows. I look forward to having you in the workshop soon Floss.
